Airfare to Hawaii

A Vacation in Hawaii Tips. When you begin to check for flights to Oahu, which is the site of Honolulu International Airport (HNL) be sure to go to all the different airline sites to get the best rate.  There are twenty-three domestic airlines that service the area as well as sixteen international carriers so you should be able to compare flight details and find the one that fits both your schedule and your bank account.

If you are flying from the mainland you can get some direct flights to the other islands such as Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii's Big Island but economically it probably will be better to fly into Honolulu International Airport and connect to the other islands.

Hawaii vacations offer you the chance to choose from a wide variety of accommodations.  You may want to stay in a condo to make it less costly for your Hawaii vacations budget because you can cook as many meals as you want right at "home."  Your Hawaii vacation lodging choice should include the right set of amenities for the type of holiday you are searching for to make a most enjoyable trip.  Surf the web and look at all the options that are out there and then narrow them down until you find the one just right for your Hawaii vacation spot.

Bus tours are available on most of the islands which will allow you to see a number of sites without having to map them out yourself.  But, it may be good to rent a car so you can go where you want, when you want.  Maybe your Hawaii vacation will have you wanting to go back to someplace you visited on your bus tour and the rental car will allow you to do that on your time.  Check out the variety of bus tours on the web and plan which one(s) you want to take before arriving.

As the 50th state of the United States all citizens of the US traveling to Hawaii will not need their passport.  If you are coming from outside the United States or traveling on to another country after your Hawaii vacation then you will need to bring your passport along.
